Boulder Creek Outdoors was born 5 years ago initially a 3D Archery club. It quickly gained a reputation for challenging courses. Club members comprised mostly of Bow hunters, making it difficult to get constant numbers to monthly shoots especially through the cooler months of the year when hunting game was much more attractive than shooting targets.

After 2 years it was decided to cease club activities and concentrate on developing of the retail arm of the business. Pat the founder of BCO had long been a keen remote country Backpack Bow Hunter. Always seeking adventures and game species that lived in the most remote, beautiful and rugged areas he could find.

This ultimately led him to the South Island of New Zealand and so began the love affair with the mighty West coast and Fiordland. It was than he realised it was almost impossible to go into one hunting shop and be able to get all the high-end gear you needed to safely venture into these areas self-guided let a lone reliable information.

From that day forth the development of Boulder Creek Outdoors was solely based on seeking out, trailing and stocking gear that could be trusted in these sorts of environments. Consistently tweaking gear to improve safety, efficiency and keeping your state of mind healthy as well as providing quality service and information is what Boulder Creek is built on.
