Boulder Creek Outdoors began with a simple passion for bowhunting and the outdoors.

Originally founded as a 3D archery club, it quickly gained a reputation for challenging courses and a dedicated group of bowhunters. But as seasons changed and members spent more time chasing game than targets, the focus naturally shifted from competition to the gear and knowledge needed for serious hunting adventures.

BCO Founder Pat, has always been drawn to remote country backpack hunting, seeking out rugged terrain, self-guided trips and places where preparation and gear truly matter. That passion led him to New Zealand’s South Island and eventually to the West Coast and Fiordland, where he discovered a major gap: it was nearly impossible to walk into one store and find all the high-end, reliable gear (and honest advice) needed to hunt safely in these environments.
