DESCRIPTION The Niak expands upon our series of very lightweight yet strong three-season tents, starting with the one-person Enan. Ideal for two people seeking minimal weight, it also serves as a lightweight palace for a solo adventurer. While its dimensions fit two, the single door and lengthwise vestibule make it less convenient than our other two-person models. Therefore, the Niak is an excellent choice for a parent and child, or for one person with a dog. It is also the perfect three-season solo tent when you want maximum comfort with minimal weight.
As with our other Yellow Label models, the Niak’s outer tent uses our lightest Kerlon 1000 fabric and is supported by the same DAC NSL 9 mm poles found in our Red and Yellow Label tents. Its simple two-pole design—inspired by our Red Label Unna solo tent—is quick to pitch and very stable. The single vestibule can be rolled up completely to maximize airflow through the full mesh inner door. Additionally, catenary curves along the outer tent’s bottom edges create space for constant ventilation while ensuring the fabric is taut for optimal performance.
Before its launch, the Niak underwent over 250 nights of field testing in diverse conditions across Scandinavia, the United States, the Alps, and Scotland. Two-person users valued its light weight, while solo users loved the spacious luxury it offered at such a surprisingly low weight. All agreed it was an outstanding choice for any summer or warm-weather trip.
"Niak" is named for a peak in Sarek National Park in northern Sweden.
DETAILS:
Kerlon 1000 outer fabric and 9 mm poles create a tent that is both very lightweight and strong.
3-season design: Ventilation is integrated into the structure, with mesh inner tent panels backed only by mesh.
Self-supporting dome design requires only the vestibule to be staked down. The simple full-sleeve and tensioner pole system allows for quick, easy setup.
The Niak has enough room for two people plus gear and serves as a spacious retreat for one.
The inner and outer tents are linked but separable for simultaneous pitching.
The single entrance and vestibule provide easy access and ample storage space.
An optional footprint covers only the inner tent area (not the vestibule). It attaches directly to the tent and can remain connected during setup.
The standard inner tent can be replaced with a Mesh Inner tent (sold separately; see accessories).
The outer and inner tents can be used independently. Pitching the inner tent alone requires optional pole holders.
