The Owyhee 1P has been recognised as one of the Best Backpacking Tents of the Year by Backpacker Magazine. Designed for solo adventures where lightweight and fast performance are essential, this ultralight, single-person shelter sets up quickly and packs down to the size of a grapefruit. Despite its compact size, it provides reliable protection in any weather conditions.
Designed with a modified hexagonal shape and a 50” peak height, the Owyhee offers a spacious interior that comfortably fits users up to 6'3". The layout dedicates roughly two-thirds of the space to sleeping and the remaining third to gear, ensuring room for both you and everything in your pack. Five additional guy-out points provide extra stability in windy conditions.
Constructed from Argali’s lightweight, ultra-durable Nano-Ripstop silpoly fabric, the Owyhee is extremely waterproof and resists sagging when wet - maintaining interior space even in harsh weather.
The tent can be run floorless or paired with the Owyhee 1P Insert (sold separately), which adds a bathtub floor and mesh netting. When combined, the insert occupies about two-thirds of the tent, leaving a dedicated vestibule for gear storage.
Designed for a single trekking pole pitch, the Owyhee is also compatible with the Rincon 2P Carbon Fibre Pole for those who prefer a dedicated support. Sewn-in line-loc adjusters at all guy-out points allow for fast, precise setup. Pitch it low for maximum weather protection or higher for increased airflow—adaptable for any adventure.
